Bulk URL Opener

This bulk URL opener opens a list of links in new browser tabs, one batch at a time. Paste URLs one per line, a column from a spreadsheet, or any text or HTML that contains links. The tool pulls out every link, adds https:// to lines that are just a domain like example.com/page, and removes duplicates. Choose 5, 10, 20 or 50 tabs per click, an optional delay between tabs, and the order: as pasted, A to Z, grouped by website or reversed. You can filter to links that contain a word, save the clean list as text or a bookmarks file, and remember it on this device. How to use

Paste your links

Paste URLs into the box in any format. The helper line counts the links found and the duplicates removed. Click Try sample to see how messy text and HTML are cleaned up.

Set batch, delay and order

Pick 5, 10, 20 or 50 from Tabs per click, a delay between tabs if the pages are heavy, and an order. Type in Only links containing to open just part of the list.

Open batch by batch

Click Open to launch the first batch, then Open next for each following batch. Opened links are crossed out, Stop halts a delayed batch, and Start over resets the list.

Why Bulk URL Opener

Allow pop-ups for this site in your browser

Browsers block extra tabs by default, so the first run usually opens just one link. You only need to allow pop-ups for this site once per browser. After that, every batch opens in full, with or without a delay.

  • Chrome: click the blocked pop-up icon at the right end of the address bar, select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from this site, then click Done.
  • Edge: click the blocked pop-up icon in the address bar, choose Always allow pop-ups and redirects from this site, then click Done.
  • Firefox: a bar appears under the address bar saying pop-ups were blocked. Click Options (Preferences on Mac) and choose to allow pop-ups for this site.
  • Safari on Mac: open Safari, then Settings, then Websites, then Pop-up Windows, and set this site to Allow.
  • Then click Open again. Links already crossed out will not reopen, so click Start over first if you want the whole list.

Keep a list for later

Three ways to keep a cleaned list: Copy clean list puts one URL per line on your clipboard, Download .txt saves the same list as a file, and Save as bookmarks file writes a standard bookmarks HTML file that Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can import into a bookmarks folder. Common questions

Why does only one tab open when I try to open multiple URLs at once?
Your browser's pop-up blocker is stopping the rest. Browsers treat several tabs opened from one click as pop-ups and usually allow only the first. Click the blocked pop-up icon in the address bar, choose to always allow pop-ups for this site, then click Start over and open the batch again.
How many URLs can the bulk URL opener handle?
There is no limit on the length of the list. You choose how many tabs open per click, from 5 to 50, and click Open next until the list is done. The counter shows how many links are opened out of the total.
Can I open links pasted from a spreadsheet, an email or a web page?
Yes. Paste the text as it is and the tool picks out every link that starts with http, https or www. It also handles HTML, so links inside href attributes are found. Everything else in the text is ignored.
What happens to links without https:// in the URL opener?
A line that contains only a domain or path, such as example.com/pricing, gets https:// added. Links starting with www. inside a sentence are picked up too. A bare domain in the middle of a sentence is not, to avoid opening words that only look like domains.
Does the bulk URL opener remove duplicate links?
Yes, by default. The helper line shows how many duplicates were removed. Untick Remove duplicate links if you need every line opened, for example to compare the same page in several tabs.
Can I open links with a delay between tabs?
Yes. Pick a delay from 0.5 to 5 seconds. The first tab opens on your click and the rest follow on a timer, which browsers treat as pop-ups, so allow pop-ups for this site first. Stop halts the tabs that have not opened yet.
Do pages opened by the bulk URL opener know where they came from?
No. Every tab is opened with noopener and noreferrer, which stops the new page from controlling this one and hides the referring page. That is a safe way to open links you have not checked yet.
Will opening 50 tabs at once slow down my computer?
It can, since every page starts loading at the same time. For heavy pages such as dashboards or media sites, use batches of 5 or 10, or add a delay, and close tabs as you go. Light pages usually cope with larger batches.
How do I open search result pages in bulk without personalized results?
Open this tool in a private or incognito window first, then paste your links there. The new tabs open in the same private session, so your signed-in history has less effect on what you see.
Does the bulk URL opener save my list?
Only if you tick Remember this list on this device. The list is then kept in your browser's local storage and comes back the next time you open the page. Nothing is sent to a server, and unticking the box deletes the saved copy.
