Logo Maker

This logo maker builds a simple, clean logo in your browser from a brand name, a tagline and an industry. Click Generate logo ideas to see 12 combinations of symbol, layout, font and colours, lock the parts you like, and generate again. Then edit every detail: pick from 170+ open-source icons or use initials, put the symbol in a circle, hexagon, shield or other container, choose a layout, set the name and tagline in any of about 90 Google Fonts, and apply one of 16 palettes or your own colours. Download SVG with the fonts embedded, PNG up to 4096 px, black, white and dark versions, and a brand kit ZIP with favicons. It is free, with no watermark and no sign-up.

Why Logo Maker

What makes a simple logo work

A logo has to be read at a glance, on a phone screen, a shop sign and a tiny browser tab. The editor gives you the pieces; these checks help you pick between ideas.

  • Test it small. Look at the App icon preview: if the symbol is still clear at that size, it will work as a favicon.
  • Check the one-colour versions. A logo that still reads in the black and white previews prints well on invoices, stamps and merchandise.
  • Limit the fonts. One family for the name and a plain sans serif for the tagline is usually enough.
  • Keep contrast high. Dark text on a light background, or the reverse, reads better than two mid tones.
  • Match the symbol to the business only loosely. A leaf suits an eco brand, but an abstract shape can age better than a literal picture.

Layouts and where to use them

Most brands need more than one arrangement of the same logo. Save the main version first, then switch layouts and download the others.

Common questions

Is this logo maker really free, with no watermark?
Yes. Every download, including SVG, PNG up to 4096 px and the brand kit ZIP, is free and carries no watermark. There is no account and no payment step. The logo is built in your browser, so nothing is uploaded to a server.
Can I use the logo I make here for my business?
Yes. The icons come from Lucide, released under the ISC licence, and the fonts come from Google Fonts under open licences, so you may use the result commercially. Because the icons are public, other brands can use them too, so check that your name is not a registered trademark and consider a designer for a fully unique mark.
What file formats does the logo maker export?
SVG, a vector file that scales to any size and carries its fonts inside, and PNG at 512, 1024, 2048 or 4096 px, with a transparent or solid background. The brand kit adds black, white and on-dark versions in both formats, the icon alone, and favicon sizes from 16 to 512 px.
How do the logo ideas and locks work?
Generate logo ideas makes 12 random combinations of icon, container, layout, font and palette, using icons from your industry. Lock any of Icon, Font, Colours or Layout and click More ideas: the locked parts stay as they are in the current design while the others change.
Can I make a logo with initials instead of an icon?
Yes. On the Symbol tab choose Initials, type one to three letters or leave the box empty to use the first letters of your brand name, and pick a font and weight. Initials work well inside a container such as a circle, rounded square or hexagon.
Why does the SVG logo look the same on every computer?
When you download, the logo maker fetches the Google Fonts it uses, limited to the letters in your logo, and embeds them in the SVG file. The file then shows your chosen font even where that font is not installed. The PNG is drawn from the same SVG.
How do I get a transparent PNG logo?
Switch on Transparent background next to the PNG size, then click PNG. The black and white versions are always transparent, which suits placing the logo on photos, and the on-dark version keeps a dark background.
Can I make a favicon from my logo?
Yes. The brand kit ZIP includes the symbol on its own as PNG files of 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 px, ready for a browser tab, a phone home screen and a web app. To bundle them into a multi-size favicon.ico, use the Favicon Generator.
What is in the logo maker brand kit ZIP?
SVG and PNG files of the logo, black, white and on-dark versions and the icon alone, favicon sizes, a 400 px profile picture, colors.txt with every hex code, fonts.txt with the font names and a Google Fonts link, and a README with licence notes.
Is my logo design saved?
Your current design is kept in this browser's local storage, so it is still there when you come back on the same device. Nothing is stored on a server. Download the brand kit to keep a copy you can use anywhere.
