A client page goes live with no structured data, and you need a valid block in a few minutes. The Schema Markup Generator writes JSON-LD for one page at a time. The form builds Article, Product, FAQPage, Organization, Person, LocalBusiness, Event, WebSite, WebPage and ContactPage. Each type shows the fields that matter for it, such as price, brand, SKU and availability for Product, opening hours and an address for LocalBusiness, or sameAs profile links for Organization and Person.
The guess comes from the JSON-LD already on the page and its og:type tag. Product, FAQPage, ContactPage, Event and LocalBusiness markup map to their own types, Article or BlogPosting markup gives Article, a ProfilePage gives Person, and anything else becomes WebPage. Check the Schema type dropdown and change it if the guess is wrong.

Eligible is not the same as guaranteed.
You can copy a block with errors, but the page may not qualify for a rich result until they are fixed. A Product needs a price, a review or a rating before Google will consider it. The panel also flags format problems, such as a date that is not ISO 8601, a price with a currency symbol or a rating outside its range.
Press Test in Google Rich Results Test to copy the script and open the tester, or Validate at validator.schema.org to check it against the Schema.org vocabulary. Even valid markup only makes a page eligible. Some types, including ContactPage, have no rich result, and FAQ rich results stopped appearing in Google in May 2026.
Check markup you already have.
Paste JSON-LD, script tags or a whole page's HTML, or fetch a URL, and every item is listed with its type, required-property errors, recommended-property warnings and format checks for dates, durations, URLs, prices and ratings. Each item can be copied as JSON-LD or microdata, and an Edit in generator link opens the matching dedicated tool.
Stay with JSON-LD unless you have a reason.
The same fields can be output as microdata, with itemprop attributes inside itemscope elements. Microdata only works when it wraps the visible text on your page, so it takes more editing. Google recommends JSON-LD, and most sites should stay with it.
Quick drafts for every page.
The Whole site tab crawls your site and drafts one basic block per page from its page type: FAQ pages become FAQPage, product pages become Product, posts become Article, and so on. These are starting drafts. A crawled Product block has no price, so the warnings will say so.
Page-level blocks must describe the page they sit on, so never copy one Article or Product block onto every page. Only sitewide entities such as Organization or WebSite belong everywhere.
