Image Geotag Generator

Upload a photo and write real EXIF GPS coordinates into it: type lat/lng, paste straight from Google Maps, or pick a city preset. JPEG quality is untouched (metadata-only edit), tags are verified by reading them back. Useful for local SEO, listings, and stock photos.

How to use

01

Upload your image

Any GPS data already in the photo shows as a blue dot on the map and in the Existing Geotags field, so you can compare current vs new.

02

Pick the new location

Search any place, click anywhere on the map, drag the red pin, use a preset, paste "lat, lng" from Google Maps, or hit Use my location.

03

Write tags & download

Optional keywords and description ride along. Write EXIF Tags verifies everything by reading the file back, then Download saves the geotagged copy.

Why Image Geotag Generator

Common questions

How do I fine-tune the position?
Three ways: drag the red pin, click anywhere on the map to move it there, or edit the latitude/longitude fields directly. Zoom in first for street-level precision.
What do the blue and red markers mean?
Blue is the location currently stored in the photo's EXIF data (if any). Red is the new location you're about to write. After writing, re-upload the downloaded file and the blue dot will be at your new spot.
Does geotagging help local SEO?
It's a minor supporting signal: Google has stated EXIF data may be used. Geotagged photos are most useful for Google Business Profile uploads, real-estate listings, and stock photography where location metadata is displayed and indexed.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Reading, tagging, and verification all happen in your browser. Only the location search text goes to OpenStreetMap's free geocoder — never your image.
